Eight Engagement Strategies of Master Educators

This course guides instructors through the process of deliberate instructional practice.  Educators choose an instructional strategy from the Eight Strategies of Master Educators and then practice over the course of a month.  Each week, educators create a goal, practice the strategy of their choice, and participate in self-reflection activities about their practice.

Course OVERVIEW

DESCRIPTION

This course focuses on classroom application and developing instructional mastery.

Course participants select an instructional strategy from the Eight Engagement Strategies of Master Educators and  practice the strategy over the course of a month.  

Course participants receive emails to guide their practice.  Each email is a challenge that encourages teachers to practice the strategy  and then reflect on the teaching process to build self-awareness and skill

LEARNER EXPERIENCE

Learners implement instructional strategies in their classroom and participation in reflections, group discussions, and self-evaluations.

Certificate of Completion

To earn a certificate of completion, you must complete the course sprints.

CEUs are calculated by the hours.

This course has  3 hours of CEUs. CEUs are awarded after the course is completed. An email of the CEU record will be sent to you.

This course contains one recorded webinar.

This course contains several practice sprints with self-reflections.  Each takes about 15-20 minutes to complete.
