Coaching session Description

This coaching session is  for the Productive Participation and Behavior Management in Adult (and Adolescent) Learners workshop.

Attend the Coaching and Application Session to discuss classroom implementation and how to use the MORE and Social learning strategies to increase productive participation behaviors in YOUR classroom context.  Ask questions, discuss application, and share ideas with colleagues.  Implementation guidance and best practices provided by Mockingbird Coach.   

This workshop is part of a 3 workshop series.

Workshop participant will be able to…
Identify and describe potential implementation challenges for integrating Wheel of Engagement strategies in classroom.
Identify and evaluate at least 2 best  practices for overcoming implementation challenges.
Create A TRY Goal for Implementation.
 
Coaching sessions are interactive Q&A and discussion sessions.  Coach will review webinar content and facilitate a discussion about application of strategies in YOUR classrooms.  Learn what works, and what doesn’t in a relaxed and informal discussion.   Bring your questions, share your  challenges, and get ready to learn from the expertise, success, and experience of facilitator and participating peers. .

Tamara Thompson, M.S., is CEO and founder of Mockingbird Education. She is an award-winning educator and has received state and national recognition for both instruction and curriculum.

Tamara is a former 2003 Teacher of the Year for the Austin area, a recipient of the Michael Jordan Foundation’s Innovation Grant Award, a recipient of Southern Poverty Law’s Teaching For Tolerance Grant Award, a former YBUSA Teacher Fellows and in 2010 was awarded a Research Doctoral Fellows at University of North Texas in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction.
