Date: February 8, 2022
Time: 10:00-11:30 CST
Learn a MENTOR Model to establish authentic mentor relationships with vulnerable and traumatized learners. Explore a research-based approach for developing mentorships that sustain student engagement beyond the program honeymoon phase and that keep students engaged during periods of volatility and vulnerability ( lack of social support, unemployment, mental health challenges, active drug use, homelessness, etc.)
The Mockingbird MENTOR Model is designed from the Camden Coalition Healthcare model. Our model teaches program staff a MENTORSHIP framework for creating respectful, trusting, and non-judgemental partnerships with students.
The Model teaches staff techniques and strategies for building rapport and using daily motivational CARE conversations to fuel a mentor relationship that keeps learners open, committed, and progressing towards program goals and outcomes.
Webinars are recorded and available to ECHO members.
